A Sidenote on Journalistic Integrity

blogging, interlude, videogames — jacob @ 10:00 pm

I’d like to take a moment to post a small note. Many of my recent posts are about videogames, and I am currently employed by a videogame publisher.

That said, all the games that I have spoken about on this blog are not products of my company. I want to make sure that is clear to anyone that might be reading my posts and knowing where I work. If I ever do post about a game that my current employer is publishing, I will be sure to give that information in the post. I do not view this blog as a way for me to help promote my employer’s titles or products.

Not that this blog has stirred any controversy over anything said thus far, but I felt that I should post this so that my journalistic integrity is made known. I do not want any readers or visitors to think that there is any conflict of interest involved with my blog.

Technosexual Revolution: Are you a technosexual?

gadgets & tech, pop trends — Tags: , — jacob @ 9:24 pm

I may very well be a technosexual, but I still agree with this guy that it is ridiculous that CK is making a cologne for MySpace users. Trend whoring much?

What is a technosexual you may ask? Montalvo, the man who coined the term, says a technosexual is “a term for people who are into lifestyle, fashion, home, grooming. But we take (it) one step further and we use gadgets as our new fashion accessory.” In essence, a technosexual is a metrosexual who uses gadgets as an accessory to enhance his style.

Check out the link for the full story on technosexuality. I am gonna go read Engadget.
